I’ve been lucky to photography Leo since before he was born through his early childhood years. I was thrilled to take his three-year photos. This time, we ventured to the beautiful West Michigan shoreline. Typically, you hear ‘beach’ and think warm sunshine, but it was COLD. We had to plan to avoid the rain and then dodge the ice-cold breeze in the middle of avoiding sunshine in the eyes. It took some coaxing, but we did get some great shots.

I loved that they brought a kite to add some pretty color (and to take advantage of that breeze).

I hope you enjoyed these photos as much as I liked taking them. Looking for a great beach in West Michigan to get photos taken? Let me know! I know of a great place (and a fun photographer)!

{Pham} 65th Wedding Anniversary Lansing Photographer

July 28th, 2014

It’s not an everyday accomplishment to be with your spouse for 65 years, but I just met a pair who achieved it and celebrated with their entire family with some portraits to commemorate. Their children threw them a 65th Sapphire Anniversary party and everyone down to the grandkids coordinated in the deep blue color to […]

Their children threw them a 65th Sapphire Anniversary party and everyone down to the grandkids coordinated in the deep blue color to honor them. We broke off into families within the whole family for some stylized and more classic portraits.

After 65 years of marriage, I want to look this adorable too.

You probably remember these two from a much colder shoot last December… a very romantic ‘soldier coming home‘ shoot in downtown Grand Rapids. Well, shortly after their session and his homecoming, they found out they were expecting their first child!

The awesome thing was that they chose me to come up with a maternity session for them and I had one I had been DYING to do: a picnic in the sun. Sooo, I pitched the idea, they went for it, we packed up our belongings and hit up Fallasburg Park in Lowell, Michigan for the photoshoot. We also incorporated their shared love of reading which went perfectly with the picnic setting. As you can see, it was a beautiful day.

I’m going to keep randomly posting the progression of Europe Vacation 2010, until all the awesomeness of the trip has been posted. It was just too good not to share. I am so glad we had this hoorah before life gets crazy. Besides, this is where I REALLY got to put my photography skills to the test.

So, after less than 24 hours in Paris, we took a train through the French countryside into Zurich, Switzerland, where my good friend from college, Clayton, was going to meet us. Later that evening, Chaz and Jill were going to meet up with all of us there, so it was the perfect opportunity to wander the city.

St. Peter has the clock on the steeple and Fraumünster church is the blue one in the back. [054]

Some more pictures…

It’s hard to pick and choose what to post! There were so many cool buildings and pathways… which, why didn’t anyone warn me that flip-flops don’t work well on cobblestone? By this point in the trip, day 2, I could tell my feet were going to be hurtin’ for certain. Crazy Swiss. And putting everything up on hills doesn’t make the journey easy either.

By the way, notice the new logo mark?
