Somehow, the baby of our family turned TWO and it happened to be her golden birthday. She’s obsessed with baby shark so we commissioned a cake from Love Baked by Amy, a local baker in West Michigan. We wore gold (mustard yellow, really) and enjoyed some quality family time.

I set up a tripod in front of our dining window to get the even flat light that is easier to manage when I set the camera on remote. That same day, I took her and her giant gold balloon out a local trail near our home.
I enjoy the sweet, smiley ones on the trail because they took forever for her to cooperate… but I LOVE this one:

This face on her reminds my mother and husband of ME. Yup, she’s my daughter for sure.
